IMPORTANT DEFINITONS ABOUT CIRCLES

Circle: set of points at the same distance to a point called 'centre'.

Circunference:  it's the full lenght of a circle.

Centre: it's a point equidistant to any point on a circle.

Radius: it's a length of a line segment from the centre to its perimeter.

Diameter: a line segment that pases though  the centre and conects two points of a circle. Its length is double the radius.

Chord: line segment which conects two points of  the circle not through the centre.

Arc: segment of a circle.

Arrow: its a line segment centre chord and pass to the centre.

IMPORTANT DEFINITONS ABOUT ANGLES  AND LINES

Parallels: they are two lines which never intersect them selves so all their points are equidistant.

Perpendicular: they are  line with meat forming four right angles.

Oblicue: they are  line which are not parallels neither perpendicular.

ANGLES : it's a figure formed by two rafs sharing a common endpoint ( vertex ).

 Types of angles (position )

Complementari angles: they are couples of angles which sum is 90°.

Suplementary angles: they are couples of angles which sum is 180°.
 Types of angles (form).

They can be: right, obtuse, acute, flat, complement, cero.

The angle bisector: when I drive an angle into two equals parts.

POLYGONS

Star poligons: its a particular polygon case whith a star shape, created out of linking together non consecutive of a regular polygon.

Inscribed polygon: they are polygons placed inside circles so all the vertex of the polygon are placed on the circle.

Convex polygon: any line draw through the polygon meets its boundary exctly twice.

Non-convex (concave): a line maybe found which meets its boundary more more than twice.

TRIANGLES: it's a flat with 3 sides and 3 angles.

QUADRILATERAL

They are polygons with 4 sides and four angles.

 Paralellograms
They are quadrilaterals with 2 sides of parallel opposite equal sides and 2 pairs opposite equal angles.

 Non-parallelograms or trapezium
Only one pair of sides are parallels.

HALLOWEEN  POWERPOINT:

Celtic and roman cultures began with HALLOWEEN tradition.
The celts of Britain  ,Ireland and French celebrated Samhain ,the begining of the winter.
Souling was a tradition when the poor people went around houses asking for food, now this is a game for the children and its name is Trick or treat.
Pumkin, blak cats, frogs, mice, spiders ,witches...are associated with HALLOWEEN party.

PUMPIN,SKULL AND BATS.

Make the pumkin, the skull  and the bats was easy and fun.

PUMKIN:

For the punkin, first I did the sketches and I choose the best sketche of all. Then I traced the template to an orange paper and I drawn the sketche on the paper and I decorated it as I wanted. I used blue purpurin, markers and color gules.

SKULL:

To make the skull I did the same that the pumkin but with another template and with a white cardboard. I used purpurin ,markers and color glues.

BATS:

To make the bats I used a template with three bats and I traced the template to a blak paper and I cut the bats. I didn't have to decorated they.

BASIC GEOMRTRY CONCEPS AND DEFINITIONS

Geometry: it's an area of knowledge which studies any elements and operations on/in the plane such as points, lines or shapes. It comes from the greek geo=earth earth and metry =measurement.

Point: in geometry a point can be define as the place or location where two lines intersect. A point has not dimensions, no height and no width.

GEOMETRY DRAWING AND SUPPLIES CONCEPS AND DEFINITIONS

Freehand: draw by hand without guiding instruments, measurement...

Line/Technical drawing: it is a drawing made with the help of suppiles. It is usually the kind of drawing used for architure or enginering plans.

Compass: it is a tool for drawing circles and arcs also for measuring distance between point, consistig in two arms linked by a hinge.

Portractor: an instrument for measuring or drawing angles on paper, usually a flat semicircular transparent plastic sheet graduate in degrees.

Set squares (UK);triangles (USA): there are two special rulers with triangular shape. One is called the 45°triangle and other 60°/30° triangle. Both have 90°angle. They are for differents angles.

Eraser: use for eliminate the mistakes

Ruler: for making lines.

Line segment copying: given the segment A B ,copy it with the same length with a compass.
